Abstract:
The Auditory Modeling Toolbox (AMT) version 1.0 is a Matlab/Octave toolbox comprising computational auditory models. The AMT aims at providing a consistent implementation of auditory models, comprehensive documentation, and user-friendly access to work with and to advance existing models. Further, the AMT provides experimental data and code addressing the reproduction of published results. With its version 1.0, the AMT provides a sophisticated framework including caching mechanisms, online repositories, general purpose auditory functions, filters, and plotting functionality, all intended to encourage the enhancement of existing models. Access to the code is facilitated by an in-code documentation system and the inclusion of a wide range of demonstrations providing quick insights into a model’s functioning. The AMT 1.0 integrates implementations of over 40 auditory models contributed by various researchers. For future contributions, the AMT offers multi-licensing of the model implementations, clear display of authorship, and citations to their authors’ publications. The AMT is open-source and can be freely downloaded from http://amtoolbox.org.
