Abstract:
The acoustical behavior of products is an important purchase criterion as it directly represents characteristics such as quality and comfort. Accelerated by digitization, industry strives to holistically virtualize the complete product development process. Appropriately, product sound should be evaluated and optimized not only based on real prototypes, but also based on virtual models. This digital transformation focuses on establishing digital platforms, cloud-based data management and web-based interfaces. The poster presents a concept for the implementation of an interactive web-based demonstrator for immersive auralization to experience virtual and real products in their typical application environment. For this purpose, the signal processing chain is described based on the possible interaction parameters in a server and client model. The audio signal processing of the implemented prototype application is based on the Web Audio API on the client side. The prototype can be experienced as a freely available web application.
